Initially developed by the Steinbrücke Flugzeughersteller company in 1863 as a passenger plane, capable of circumventing even the travel time of the Imperium's well-established Querfeldein railway network, it was not long before invested parties within seats of government purchased these designs for themselves.
Boasting unmatched manoeuvrability thanks to a supercharger engine, the effectiveness of the Messer is further enhanced by its armament: a pair of 30mm high-velocity cannons. The ammunition uses an expensive tungsten core, able to penetrate armour with ease, making the Messer as deadly at attacking armoured targets on the ground as it is in the intense dogfight waged above it.
